Reteach & Enrichment

In order to help every student succeed in school and reach his or her very best, we offer Reteach and Enrichment Fridays. These Fridays give our students the opportunity to enrich their understanding and strengthen their skills of key concepts from their lessons for that week.
Every class has weekly education goals that students need to completely grasp in order to successfully move on to the next week’s curriculum. For students who need extra time or help with the week’s classwork, our teachers offer an extra day in class where they can get individualized assistance and support. Some teachers may also do small group work.

All students with a D or F in a class will be required to attend each Friday for that class until they have a C or better. Additionally, any teacher may require a student to attend a Friday reteach if they have not shown proficiency for an important standard, regardless of the student's grade in the class. We expect students and parents to check the student portal every Thursday evening to see if they will be required to attend that Friday. If you have a D/F in any class, you will be on the list and are expected to show up and complete work in that class. You will not get any other "formal invite" unless a teacher is requesting your attendance based on a standard you need help on and your grade is C or above. Any student who feels they need additional lesson time and support are also always welcome to show up on any Friday and receive that more individualized instruction time.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Not attending a required reteach class (D/F or by teacher request) will be considered a "ditch" and will have disciplinary consequences thereafter. Fridays are considered a school day, unless the student has "earned" it off with grades of C or better and proficiency in all standards.

Students are required to be in a class at all times on Fridays. There is zero tolerance for loitering on campus. If students are seen loitering, we will ask that they get into a class immediately or get off of campus. If a student continually loiters on Fridays, and they aren't using it appropriately, they may be "suspended" from being on campus on Fridays for a time. This is an opportunity to better your education, and we want to see it used accordingly.
